Mimi Harmon was born in Ann Arbor, MI, and has had a somewhat nomadic existence ever since. At age nine, she moved from Ann Arbor to Nairobi, Kenya, where she lived until age 19. She’s been in the United States—MA, MD, WA, SC, D.C., GA, SC, GA—ever since.
During her travels, Mimi picked up a BS in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She also picked up a heavy burden of reconciling her rigorous education with a succession of jobs for which she had no passion and that left her literally sick and tired. So she started to transform…
Now Mimi enjoys her childhood passion for storytelling, which she re-embraced by writing her first book, Awakening Giant.
